On September 25, 2024, the first Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under the Mission Zero Dropout initiative was signed between Tara Foundation Malaysia, Bajrayogini Foundation Nepal, and Siddha Bahara Ashram Nepal, marking the formal launch of the program.
About the Center
Located in Pame, Pokhara, Siddha Bahara Ashram is a traditional Gurukul school that once provided education in core subjects like English, Math, and Science, but had to discontinue operations due to a lack of teachers and funds.
What the Partnership Brings
Thanks to the collaboration, the Ashram has been revitalized with the allocation of a dedicated teacher to conduct after-school classes. These sessions now cater not only to the 30+ resident students of the Ashram, but also to children from the surrounding community who attend local government schools.
This initiative has breathed new life into the Ashram’s educational mission and set a benchmark for future centers under the program. It is the first of the five Mission Zero Dropout centers established in 2024.
